Host:

Host:-
- The plant which gives support or supplies food to the parasite plant is called Host.
- This plant stores food in the form of fruits or roots.
- Host prepares food from air , water and Carbon dioxide as in the process of Photosynthesis.
Parasite:-
- The plant which depends on host plant for its food needs is called Parasite.
Ex:- Cuscuta.
- Parasitic plants develop special roots called haustoria , Which penetrate into the tissues of the host plant and absorb food materials from them.
- This mode of nutrition is called Heterotrophic nutrition.
