Scalar is a quantity which has direction and no magnitude. Ex- speed.

Vector is a quantity which has both direction and magnitude.Ex- velocity.

  • It is a physical quantity
  • It has only direction
  • It doesn't have magnitude ( value)

vector

  • It is a physical quantity
  • It has both magnitude nd direction

eg: scalar : distance

eg: vector: displacement
