MERISTAMATIC TISSUE:
1.Meristematic tissue is called formative tissue as its cells divide and form new cells.It is responsible for growth of the plant body or plant parts.
2.Meristematic cells need a high mitotic rate because they are responsible for plant growth.

GROUND TISSUE:
1.Ground tissue is also called fundamental tissue .It includes all that tissues except the epidermis and the vascular bundles.It forms bulk of the plant body.
2.It is useful for storing food and providing physical support to the plant body.
