Nomadic societies are characterized by making changes as to where they live. This occurs because they are, mainly, hunters and gatherers. When the amount of animals and the fruits of the places in which they are diminished due to the hunting and the collection, they go to places previously uninhabited. So they better enjoy the areas in which they live.
These people usually live in groups of approximately 150 people or less. Most of the time is spent looking for food to survive.
On the other hand, complex societies involve cities, with thousands and even millions of people, which involves a huge range of professions and activities, as well as cultural and leisure options. For example, Manaus has almost two million inhabitants.
