Virus - They are a nucleoprotein particle, nucleic acid can be either RNA or DNA. They contain capsid covering .ie. a protein layer found around the nucleus. They lack a true cell membrane. They are large-sized. They infect all types of organisms.

VIROIDS - are an infectious RNA particle. They are devoid of any capsid caoting. They contain only RNA. They are of small size. They infect only plants.

PRIONS - They are proteinaceous infective particles. They do no contain any nucleic acid. They generally cause an infected individual's DNA to start producing an altered form of a protein that they would normally produce. Their protein is called a prion protein (PrP). They cause disease by infecting this protein in misfolded forms.

Hope this helps you.

Viruses :-

  1. The viruses are non cellular organism , the name of the virus was given by Dmitri Ivanowsky in 1892.
  2. They have inert crystalline structure outside the living cell .
  3. Once the virus infective cell then there take place on my scenery of the host cell to to replicate themselves killing the host .
  4. Virus means the venomous poisonous fluid .
  5. The virus are very small when does scientist passed the virus from bacteria proof filter paper then they easily passed through it .
  6. virus are made up of proteins there are inert outside their specific host cells .
  7. They are parasitic in nature .
  8. Animal virus cannot function in plant virus and vice versa .
  9. In animal where is there the majority of DNA and some contains RNA where is in plant there the virus contains mostly RNA and some DNA .

Viroids :-

  1. Viroids are discovered by T.O. Diener .
  2. They are usually smaller than viruses .
  3. They were newly infectious agent in 1971 .
  4. They mostly cause of potato spindle Tuber disease .
  5. It contains free RNA.
  6. It do not have protein coat .

Prior :-

  1. They are very harmful and neurological disease .
  2. These diseases are transmitted by an agent consisting of abnormally folded protein .
  3. The shape of these are mostly similar to the shape of viruses .
  4. They are also called mad cow disease in cattle .
