Platyhelminthes are characterised by long bodies. They are known as flat worms. They are first triploblastic organisms i.e; they have all the 3 germ layers, ectoderm, endoderm and mesoderm. They are bisexual. Many of them have indirect development i.e; they have larval stages. They are parasites.
Example is Tapeworm.
Nemathelminthes or nematodes are characterised by round bodies. They are also known as round worms. They are also triploblastic organisms. They are unisexual. Male can be differentiated from a female by having a short body and curved tail and absence of Vulva. They show direct development i.e; they don't have any larval stages. Many of them are parasites
