Required Solution :-

Here we need to differentiate 1/x^5 w.r.t. x.

If f(x) = x^n then differentiation of x^n is given by the below theorum :

  • d / dx (x^n) = nx^n-1

>> d / dx (1 / x^5)

>> d / dx (x^-5)

Here,

  • n is -5

>> d / dx (-5x ^ -5 - 1)

>> d / dx (-5x^-6)

Therefore, differentiation of 1/x^5 is -5x^-6
