Let y = 2/x + x/2

Differentiate y with respect to x,

dy/dx = (2/x)' + (x/2)'

= 2(1/x)' + 1/2(x)'

= 2(x^-1)' + 1/2

= 2(-1x^-2) + 1/2

= 2(-1/x^2) + 1/2

= -2/x^2 + 1/2

Hence, differential of (2/x + x/2) is -2/x^2 + 1/2
