The differentiation of 2x can be done in the given way.

 \frac{d}{dx} (2x) \\ \\ 2 \: is \: a \: constant \: term \\ so \\ take \: it \: out \: as \: such. \\ \\ = 2\frac{d}{dx} {(x)}^{1} \\ \\ = 2 \times {x}^{1 - 1} \\ \\ = 2 \times {x}^{0} \\ \\ = 2 \times 1 \\ \\ = 2

So, the differentiation of 2x is 2.
