speed of an object is the magnitude of its velocity, or the rate of change of its position.

Velocity is the measurement of the rate and direction of change in the position of an object.

Hey mate!

Answer:

SPEED ↓

⇒ Speed is the distance covered per unit time.

⇒ Speed of an object is scalar (only has magnitude) and is always positive.

⇒ Speed of the object tells us how fast does the object moves.

⇒ Average speed of a moving object cannot be zero and is always positive.

VELOCITY ↓

⇒ Velocity is the displacement (distance covered in a paticular direction) covered per unit time.

⇒ Velocity of an object is a vector (has magnitude as well as direction) and can be positive or negative.

⇒ Velocity of an object tells us how fast and in which direction does the object moves.

⇒ The average velocity of an object can be zero too.

Hope it helps you!
