The dorsal lip is called the primary organizer. The dorsal lip is made up of chordamesoderm and is responsible for the embryo’s development. It is first induced for the formation of the neural tube. This undergoes further induction to form the eyes.
Due to the above induction process, the organs are in the primary stages of development and are known as organ rudiments. These rudiments also serve as organizers and are called secondary organizers.
