According to me, you are thinking a good idea and logic and put immediate effort is smart work.

And hard work is you do all time work and lot of time-consuming this is hard work.

Mario and Luigi create websites for local businesses.

Here’s the difference between working hard and working smart:

WORKING HARD: Luigi visits the business owner…

Offers his wide variety of services.

Luigi likes to be the man to go to. He will do anything the customer wants. He is always willing to go the extra mile to keep his clients happy.

Luigi negotiates the price of his work to be around $30 per hour.

He promises his client he will get everything done in about 100 hours of work and asks for $1,000 downpayment.

Luigi goes home and consumes all his time working on the project.

He goes to his client for revisions and agrees on any changes.

Luigi takes pride in his customer-centric policy and will always do everything to keep his customers happy.

In the end, Luigi underestimates the time the project consumed, but he continually achieves impressive customer reviews which keep him in business.

WORKING SMART: Mario visits the business owner…

And offers three standard options to his clients: the Silver package for $2,500, the Gold for $3,000 and the Platinum for $4,000

Mario sells his pre-designed templates for each of the three packages. When his client selects the package, they know exactly what they will receive.

The client selects a package, and Mario asks for 50% up front.

Mario goes to his team of freelancers and instructs them on the details of the job.

His team works on customizing the templates and delivers the job to Mario.

Mario pays his team with the 50% upfront money.

In the end, Mario delivers precisely what the client expected.

He delivers the job in record time.

While Mario’s team was working on the website, he was selling to more clients.

Mario refuses to do any custom-jobs. When his clients demand custom jobs, he calls Luigi, gets a referral fee and walks away.

How to work smart?

There’s no way to work smart if you don't STOP TO THINK!

Be smart, work smart and never give up!
