Phishing is a luring a client to disclose sensitive information whereas plagiarism is copying someone's published work without due credit.

  • Phishing is a fraudulent manner in which a person, posing as a trustworthy  entity, tries to lure an unsuspecting customer to divulge sensitive information like bank account login details, user id or password.
  • Plagiarism is another dent on the credibility and advantages of Information Technology. Plagiarism is rampant on digital media wherein the perpetrator copies someone else's printed work and calls it his own, without giving due credit to the creator of that content.
  • Both phishing and plagiarism can cause major losses of finances and reputation to the victims. Hence, even though there are a lot many features to protect one's interests on the digital platform, we should still be alert all the time.
