Use of among and between is quite same .

The one difference that makes sentence wrong is that :-


# When we say about two peoples , then we use between .

For eg. :- There was a fight between Ram and Shyam .


# When we talk about group if peoples , then we use among .


For eg. :- There was a fight among the classmates .



So , yes .
