A system of flowing water from the higher level to the lower level.
1.Dendritic drainage patterns: It develops where the river channel follows the slope of the terrain. Like the branches of a tress, the small streams meet larger streams and the larger streams meet still larger streams. In the end they meet the main river.
Trellis drainage: A trellis drainage pattern develops where hard and soft rocks exit parallel to each other . In this pattern , the tributries can be seen meeting the main stream at right angle.
Rectangular drainage: This type of drainage pattern develops on a strongly joined rocky terrain.
Radial drainage : Radial drainage pattern also known as centrifugal pattern is formed by the streams which diverge from a central higher point in all directions.
