Loranthus grows on the branches of a tree. They absorb the required nutrients and water from the tree in which it grows. Similarly, Cuscuta gets attached to other plants and trees on its own. It gets the food from the host tree as it cannot prepare its food by photosynthesis due to the absence of chlorophyll in it.
