Diffrence between solid liquid and gasses on the basis of space
Answers
Solids : They have very strong intermolecular forces. The particles are closely packed with minimum amount of space left between them. Hence, we find it difficult to break solids.
For example, if you try to break a wooden block it is very difficult to overcome the intermolecular force of attraction between the particles so as to break it.
In other words we can say that particles have a very strong friendship.
Liquids : They have weak intermolecular forces as compared to solids. We can move our hand freely in liquid but in solids it is not possible.
Gases : They have the weakest intermolecular force of attraction. There is large space left between the particles. We can move our hands freely in air without any problem.
Answer:
*Solid* solids have the minimum space between them
*liquid* liquids have moderate space between them
*gases* gases have maximum space between them
