and let smaller be y then

y^2 = 8x

then

putting this is in 1st eq we get...

x^2 -8x = 180

then x^2-8x-180 = 0

factorising it we get...

x^2+10x-18x-180

x(x+10)-18(x+10)

then X = 18,-10

taking X = 18 then y = √8x = √144 = 12 answer...

if taking X = 10 then y = √8×10 = √80 = 8.94 answer....
