Answer:

1) Metals are malleable and ductile.

Non- metals are brittle (break easily). They are neither malleable nor ductile.

2) Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity.

Non-metals are bad conductors of heat and electricity. Except for graphite which is a good conduction of electricity.

3) Metals are solids at room temperature.Except for mercury which is a liquid metal.

Non-metals may be solid, liquid or gases at the room temperature.

4) Metals are lustrous and can be polished.

Non-metals are non-lustrous (dull) and cannot be polished. Except for iodine

Explanation:

  1. Metals are hard and mostly in solid state except mercury and gallium they are in liquid state at room temperature.Non metals are brittle except Diamond and mostly liquid or in gasesous state
  2. Metals are lustrous, non metals are non lustrous
  3. Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity. Non metals except Graphite are bad conductors of heat and electricity.
  4. Metals have property of Sonority (emitting sound), ductility (can be converted in wires) and malleability (can be transferred in sheets) but Nonmetals don't have these properties.

Hope this will help you!
