(i) The term Transpiration refers to the loss of excess of water by the plants through the stomatas of their leaves in the form of water vapour.

(ii) It is an example of excretion by the plants.

(iii) It creates a suction pull for the process of translocation.

Whereas,

(i) The term Translocation refers to the process of molecular movements inside the plant (e.g. movement of water)

(ii) It is one of the result of transpiration.

(iii) It helps in the transportation of various materials throughout the plant.
