Simple permanent tissue
Parenchyma
It is a living cell having intercellular spaces.thin walled cells . It stores food and provide support to the plant . Present in epidermis,cortex , endodermis of leaves,stems , fruits and flowers.
Collenchyma
It is a living tissue having very little spaces . Cells with localised thickening at the corners. Gives flexibility to the plant to bend without breaking. Present at the epidermis of leaf stalk ,leaf midrib , herbaceous dicot plants.
Sclerenchyma
It is a dead tissue having no spaces . Cells with thickening all over the cells by a chemical called lignin . Provide structural and mechanical strength to the plant. Present around vascular bundle ,veins of leaf and hard covering of seeds and nuts.
