Difference between asthama and tuberclosis​:

  • Both asthma and tuberculosis is related with the disorders caused in the the lungs but both of them are widely different from each other.
  • Tuberculosis is caused by a bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis, whereas asthma is generally caused by environmental or genetic factors like hypersensitivity or allergies.
  • Tuberculosis is a communicable disease which means it can be transmitted from one person to other if the person inhales the infected droplets of air, whereas asthma is non transferred from one person to other.
  • The person infected with tuberculosis can have severe fever, cough in which blood may be present,etc, whereas the person infected with asthma can lead to bronchospasm which causes suffocation and difficulty in breathing.
  • In tuberculosis, several tubercle are formed inside the lungs whereas asthma causes inflammation of the lungs.
