(a)Potential resources - the resources whose entire quantity may not be known and these are not being used at the present.
Ex. uranium found in ladakh
Actual resources- the resources whose quantity is known. These resources are being used in the present.
Ex. dark soil in Deccan plateau
(b)Ubiquitous resources- the resources which are available everywhere and can be found easily are called ubiquitous resources.
Ex. air, water.
Localised resources- the resources that can be found only in a specific region are calledlocalised resources.
Ex. diamond, gold.
