Let's take earth which has gravitational field and even earth has its own atmosphere (gas) and the gas molecules are attracted towards the core of the earth .
The atmosphere does not escape / gets down to the land
Why?- This is because the vander Waals
force of attraction is greater than the gravitational force so it stays higher from land /earth
Fact - Gas is expanding according to the known science universe is of gas (hydrogen and helium) so the hydrogen & helium atoms have a very high speed and small size so this makes it escape to the outer space and this term is known as
atmospheric escape
The more massive the molecule of a gas is, the lower the average velocity of molecules of that gas at a given temperature, and the less likely it is that any of them reach escape velocity.
This is why hydrogen atoms escape the Earth's atmosphere and also voids the gravity effect !

Decision is not influenced by the gravity because there no role of gravity in reactions and the diffusion is a process which elements used in it
