The arobic respiration takes place in the presence of oxygen in which complete oxidation of glucose takes is involved hence, optimum output of energy is achieved.
Anaerobic respiration takes place in the absence of oxygen, hence complete oxidation of glucose does not takes place. Usually some bacteria shows anaerobic respiration. Even sometimes our calf muscle anaerobic respiration takes place.
