Derived quantities are basically those quantities which are got by using fundamental units.

Derived quantities are those quantities which are derived by using one or more of seven fundamental units.

These fundamental quantities are those quantities which cannot be derived and are basic units.

Which are

metre of length , kilogram of mass , second of time , Kelvin for temperature , mole of amount , ampere for electric current , candela for luminous intensity.

Example of derived quantities

Density = \bf{\frac{mass}{volume}}

and the SI unit of volume is (metre)³

So the Derived unit of density is

kg/m³
