Answer:

Faraday's 2nd Law

Faraday's second law of electrolysis states that When the same quantity of electricity is passed through different electrolytes, the masses of different ions that are liberated at the electrodes are directly proportional to their chemical equivalent weights

Step-by-step explanation:

If an electric current is passed through various electrolytes grouped in series then the amount of the substance deposited are directly proportional to their respective chemical equivalents . if x , y z are the deposited amount of substabde be E1,E2 ,E3 are their respective chemical equivalents then

x/E1=y/E2 and x/E1 = z/E3

also from first law

x = ZIt , y = Z2IT , z = Z3IT

where , z1,Z2 , Z3 are electro chemical equivalents of the deposited substances .

=> x/y = Z1/Z2 = E1/E2 and y/z = z2/Z3 = E2/E3

=> z directly proportional E

This concludes that the electro chemical equivalent of the substance .
