Yes, the first starting point of the digestion started from the mouth as when we put the food inside our mouth, the salivary glands that secretes saliva,are present in our mouth,helps to change the starch into sugars and the saliva is mixed with the food with the help of our tongue,a muscular part attached in our mouth.
