Answer:

Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic rose in late March, the world’s economy has been increasingly deflating. People are being forced to switch over to online platforms for their work and education and although this poses quite a challenge to the working class, a digital India could provide more opportunities to an otherwise substancially dependant nation. How so? Well, that is just the question I hope to answer in this essay.

For years, schools have been reliant on the knowledge of a given teacher and the textbook provided by an educational board, but with the introduction of online classes, it opens up the possibility of unlimited resources. Games or research papers relevant to the chapter can be easily shared with the class, giving them further insight on what they are currently studying. Furthermore, each student can learn at their own level, since they are being given extra time to practice skills they haven’t fully developed.

Employees will find it easier to communicate over the Internet, where the value of time can be properly appreciated. They will be able to work efficiently in the comfort of their own homes, allowing them to be twice as productive than usual. In fact, data from the apex Reserve Bank of India (RBI) show that India is now clocking around 100 million digital transactions a day.

More and more people are transferring their assets into banks, where they can be digitalised, reducing the use of paper currency. Additionally, citizens are documenting themselves in the eyes of the government; almost every Indian now has the digitally authenticated Aadhar identification number. By using technology, the state governments are also managing essential medical items required by citizens, including masks. This proves that the outcome of the pandemic has India working into a digital reset, further developing our nation.

Businesses are being motivated to transfer their lines of work online, where it can be accessible to millions of people on a daily basis, causing a growth in their fiscal revenue. The availability of products has gone up along with consumer demand, and thus, the stock market has been rising. The digitalisation of corporate entities otherwise inaccessible by the common public has become inclusive of all, without which, their sales would lower and  people might lose interest in them. Thanks to their decision, their cash flow has remained intact.

To draw a conclusion, shifting our country to an online base was possibly the best alternative to come out of such a dangerous time. Without it, the working class would lose their livelihoods and moreover, it is beneficial to school and university students alike. It has also boosted India as an economic sector in the global market and serves as a shining example of how self-sufficiency is a requirement for all thriving nations. By making this choice, we have furthered ourselves as a country first, and individuals second. The computerisation of our nation can only lead to better results for the future of India, which is why it is a necessity to go onwards.
