Work = Force × Distance
Force= mass × acceleration
Hence, Work = Mass × acceleration × Distance
= Mass × Velocity/Time × Distance
= Mass × Displacement/Time/Time × Distance
= M L T^-2 L
= M L^2 T^-2

Hope it helps...

The dimensional formula for work is ML²T ¯².

Explanation:

Some Important Information:-

1. Work is a scalar quantity and the S.I unit is joule.

2. In case the angle between Force and displacement is acute the work will be postive.
