Namastey !!

Area of the frame is 1320 cm²

Solution :

To find the area of the wooden frame, we have to first find the area of the whole painting including the frame and area of the painting.

First, we'll find the area of the painting..

Since we have given the length and breadth of the painting 60 cm and 38 cm respectively.

Area of rectangular painting :

L * B

= 38 * 60

= 2280 cm²

To find the length and breadth of the painting including the frame we'll add the 6cm width to them.

• Length of the Painting + Width of the Frame = Length of the painting including frame.

= 60 + 6 + 6

( you can get it by the attachment )

= 72 cm

• Breadth of the Painting + Width of the Frame = Breadth of the painting including frame.

= 38 + (6)2

= 50 cm

Area of the rectangular painting including the frame :

L * B

= 72 * 50

= 3600 cm²

Area of Painting including frame - Area of Painting only = Area of frame

= 3600 cm² - 2280 cm²

= 1320 cm²
