Formula used:

Area of walls = 2h( l + b)

Solution:

• Breadth, b = 6 m
• Height, h = 3 m

∴ Area of the walls = 2h ( l + b )

= {2 × 3 ( 10 + 6 )} m²

= (2 × 3 × 16) m²

= 96 m²

Now,

Cost of white washing of 1 square metre = Rs 20

∴ Cost of white washing the walls

= Rs ( 20 × 96 )

= Rs 1920
