Given data : Dimensions of two paintings are 220 cm by 70 cm and 450 cm by 220 cm.

To find : length of wooden frame's which Mr Thomas order for both paintings ?

Solution : Mr Thomas wants to order wooden frame for both paintings.

Let, first painting be A and second painting be B. So, Here,

→ Length of painting A = 220 cm

→ Breadth of painting A = 70 cm and

→ Length of painting A = 450 cm

→ Breadth of painting A = 220 cm

Now, we use formula of perimeter to find length of wooden frame for painting A.

→ Perimeter of painting A

= Length * Breadth

→ Perimeter of painting A

= 220 * 70

→ Perimeter of painting A

= 15400 m

Similarly, we use formula of perimeter to find length of wooden frame for painting B.

→ Perimeter of painting A

= Length * Breadth

→ Perimeter of painting A

= 450 * 220

→ Perimeter of painting A

= 99000 m

Answer : Hence, length of wooden frame's which Mr Thomas order for both paintings are 15400 m and 99000 m respectively.
