Angular momentum can also be considered as moment of momentum.That means momentum x perpendicular distance from the point about which body’s momentum is defined. Thus momentum=mass x velocity, therefore units are MLT^-1 and hence angular momentum will have units as MLT^-1 x L=ML^2T^-1
