The sum of their age is 36..... (given)

Twinkle + Dimple= 36

x + 2x = 36

3x = 36

x = 36/3

x = 12

SO TWINKLE AGE IS 12

DIMPLE AGE WAS 2x

= 2 × 12 ....... (x = 12)

= 24
