Dinesh and Kabir have some coins.if Dinesh gives kabir one coin, they both will have same number of coins. If Kabir gives Dinesh one coin, Dinesh will have twice the number of coins that Kabir has.How many coins does each boy has.

D - 1 = K + 1   , this means D = K + 2. (Equation a)

Also, if Kabir gives one coin to Dinesh, Dinesh will have twice the number of coins than Kabir:
D + 1 = 2 K, this means D = 2K - 1 (Equation b)

Comparing both equations (a and b); K + 2 = 2K - 1. Hence K = 3.

So K = 3 and D = 5. Kabir has 3 coins and Dinesh has 5coins.
