hey mate

lets consider the buying price of dinesh as x and buying price of rangan is y

selling price= cost price + profit

selling price of rangan = y+30/100% of y
mukesh pays rs 1872 to rangan that is selling price if rangan

.

1872 = y +  \frac{30}{100} \times y \\ 1872 = y +  \frac{30y}{100}  \\ 1872 =  \frac{130y}{100}  \\ 187200 = 130y \\  \frac{187200}{130} = y \\ 1440 = y
buying price of rangan is rs1440
that is selling price of dinesh
1440 = x +  \frac{20}{100}  \times x \\ 1440 = x +  \frac{20x}{100}  \\ 1440 =  \frac{120x}{100} \\ 144000 = 120x \\  \frac{144000}{120} = x  \\  1200 = x
buying price of dinesh is rs 1200
hope it helps
