Given :- Dinesh has two mango trees in his garden. The given table shows the number of mangoes he picks daily in the month of May : 9 15 14 10 7 8 8 9 19 10 12 8 11 7 9 9 8 16 18 11 9 9 11 8 9 13 9 11 7 12 10 .

Draw a histogram for the given data such that 6 - 8, 8 – 10, 10-12, 12-14, 14-16, 16-18, 18-20 are class intervals .

Answer :-

we have,

  • 6 - 8 = 7 (3 times)
  • 8 - 10 = 8 (5 times) , 9 (8 times)
  • 10 - 12 = 10 (3 times) , 11 (4 times)
  • 12 - 14 = 12 (2 times), 13 (1 time)
  • 14 - 16 = 14 (1 time), 15 (1 time)
  • 16 - 18 = 16 (1 time)
  • 18 - 20 = 18 (1 time), 19 (1 time)
  • Total times = 31 .

In histogram there is no gap between class intervals. ( In Bar graph we have gap between class intervals. )

Now, refer to image for histogram for given data.
