Explanation:

If I have a short time and I want to discover a city or territory optimizing my available days and my cultural growth definitely yes. A GOOD and professional guide can help you in many ways: she/he explains widely the history of the places you visit, can help you understand much better the territory and the architecture. She can also avoid you time losses in transportation and eventually queues, can give you acces to otherwise impossible to visit places like private houses/mansions or discover particular kinds of art/local artists. And it is very useful if you are intrested in specific topics that would take you long time to discover. Also can give you suggestion for other visit ideas you may not have considered before reaching the place. Often it is undervalued how much time we loose just to get oriented in a new place.

For example if I have short time in a city surely I suggest to hire a guide to have a good overview of a place, then keep other few days to live the place but already having orientation and cultural tools on my mind.

Different is when I have more time, want to wonder around just “seeing” different places more superficially. In this cases I prefer to explore on my own.

I travel both ways, but when I want to truly culturally discover a place in an optimized timing I search a professional guide, usually I never hire people without correct license to show me a place. I don’t want my travel experience to be ruined by not prepared people.

Having a trusted travel agent is always a plus if you don’t want to risk or simply don’’t want or don’t have a lot of tome to do the searching stuff. Otherwise you can contact the local tourist office to get some names of authorized guides.

I hope it's help uhh ❤️
