As per inter molecular forces(attractive & repulsive) varies ,Dipole-Dipole interaction results when two dipolar molecules interact with each other through space.When this occurs,the partially negative portion of one of the polar molecules is attacted to the partiallt positive portion of the second polar molecule.So ,i think the explaination is clear.
