Dipole moment of Benzene all most zero ( 0.0001Debye). Molecules having a dipole moment are either asymmetrical or having differing electro negativities. Whilst carbon and hydrogen have different electronegativities, the benzene molecule is symmetrical planar molecule. It has 6C-H bonds or 6 dipole moments, which cancel outone another and thus as all individual dipoles cancel out, the net dipole moment is zero.
