Direct and indirect speech rules if it is in present tense

In the indirect speech the verb will change into past tense.

If the reporting speech(direct speech) it is followed that the sentence will include a word 'that', the verb is changed to past , and pronouns are changed into nouns.



Ex.

D.S. She said, " I am going now"


Id.S. She said that she was going then.
