DIRECT / INDIRECT SPEECH
Put the following sentences into indirect speech:
The boys said, "we want to play a match”.

Direct : The boys said, "We want to play a match"
Indirect : The boys said that they wanted to play a match.

In the given direct speech, subject : The boys.
So in indirect form, subject will be ; the boys.
Now given ; said. So indirect form, it will turn into said that.
Now in the direct form, we refer to the boys. So in indirect form, it will be they.
Now verb given as want. So in indirect form it will be wanted.
Now we have to put the remaining part i.e. to play a match in indirect form..
