The most direct way of influencing politics of a region is by doing social service. Genuinely good and honest human beings are required in our political system. Only by serving the people in a good and transparent way can we help improve a system in which today serving the people is mostly a forgotten thing and self-enrichment has become a credo.
Once a person is able to influence social change in a region by good and honest deeds will he be able to win the hearts and minds of his people. This could then set of a chain reaction and more and more good people would then join the movement to cleanse the system and work for the betterment of the masses.
Without a background or without a genuine interest in social service, simply by joining the bandwagon of electoral politics through personal influence will not do any good to a region or a state or the country. So, the most direct way of influencing politics or political change would be by entering the political arena, but through social service.
