Sipa, often referred to as Takyan, is a traditional Filipino game that dates back to the time before the Spanish conquest in the 15th century. Given that the sport calls for agility, speed, stamina, and a high degree of ball control, it is a really difficult game.

  • If the boy isn't able to catch the ball it will fall to the ground as no object can be in air without external force. So, it will definitely fall  to the ground.
  • All the objects on earth experience gravitational force. Gravitational force is the force of attraction of earth. Due to this all the objects move downward every time they are tossed upward.
  • Yes, friction does act between the foot and ball. the foot applies force in opposite direction than the ball. It causes the sipa to go in another direction.
  • Both gravity and friction affect the game of sipa. Friction slows down the sipa and changes its direction. Gravity pulls it towards the ground(downwards).
