For this assignment, you should create a text that communicates your experiences or aspirations as a writer in college or beyond by identifying a discourse community you are learning (or hope) to be part of and the literacies you’ll need to contribute effectively. Write this as a comic strip. Along with the comic strip to the class, you must write a Statement of Goals and Choices in the form of a 2- to 3-page essay that uses edited academic English to explain what ideas you hoped to communicate to what audience, what genre you chose to work within, and why that genre’s conventions seemed most appropriate to your purpose.
