Answer:

50,13.888

Explanation:

distance travelled = final odometer reading - initial odometer reading

               distance = 2100 - 1500

               distance = 600 km

              time taken to travel = 12 hours

              average speed = total distance / total time

              avg speed = 600/12 = 50kmph

              1 kmph = 5/18 m/s

              50kmph = 5/18 x 50m/s

                          = 13.88m/s

             hope it helps you

Given that, an odometer of a vehicle reads 1500 km at the start of a trip and 2100 km at end the end of trip.

Means, initial distance = 1500 km and Final distance = 2100 km

Also given that, the trip takes 12 hours. So, total time taken to cover the trip is 12 hours.

We have to find the average speed of the trip in km/hr and m/s.

Now,

(a) Total distance covered by vehicle = Final distance - Initial distance

= (2100 - 1500) km= 600 kmTime

= 12 hours

So,

Average speed = (Total distance covered)/(Total time taken)

= 600/12

= 50 km/hr

Therefore, the average speed of the vehicle in km/hr is 50 km/hr.

(b) In second part, we have to find the average speed of the vehicle in m/s.

From above calculations we have average speed = 50 km/hr. To convert km/hr into m/s, multiply with 5/18.

So,

Average speed = 50 × 5/18= 13.89 m/s

Therefore, average speed of the vehicle in m/s is 13.89 m/s.
