ofcourse disadvantage is there as we know that bombs are being made which can destroy even countries. those are made by use of chemistry
moreover, we use LPG cylinders at homes containing liquefied gas ( butane (not sure)).. which is also based on chemsitry but if by chance it explode can cause lot of damage.....
fire burnt with principle of chemistry can destroy lot of places.....
