Joint family system

In India, relations are valued a lot and nuclear families were the western culture because from the older times people of the families live jointly in India.

Rituals

Rituals play a very important role in shaping the opinion of people here. since India is a land of diverse religion and every religion follows its own rituals according to their beliefs.

The disadvantage of Indian culture is

Dowry system

This is the biggest disadvantage of Indian culture which in spite of laws cannot be removed. in this system, women were expected to bring gifts and many other things at the time of their marriage.

Patriarchy

Patriarchy is also a disadvantage because still Indian family is dominated by the male members and still girl child is known as the curse to various Families.

✒A major disadvantage of Indian Culture is Patriarchy. Men seldom allow the women/daughters of the family to work and earn. In a patriarchal culture, men do not want to live on the earning of the women, they feel they are not man enough to make the women step out of the house and work.

✔ Advantages:-

✒I like how Indian culture teaches us to respect every individual. Elders in the family, neighborhood, etc, are greeted with utmost regard. Hence we have the two different words 'Tum' and 'Aap ' in our Dictionary, unlike English which has only 'YOU'. 'Atithi Devo Bhava' (Our Guests are Equivalent to the God).
