You can thus talk only about disadvantages of a lower or higher pressure, because you do need air, at least for all living creatures on earth to breathe and keep our fires burning.

Atmospheric pressure at high altitudes is lower.  This can cause problems for people to get enough oxygen at high altitudes.  It also affects the boiling point of water and the time it takes to cook food.
